Awful service at Koons Sterling. No follow-up skills whatsoever. In fact, the entire time my car was there for a simple repair, I felt that they just did not give a hoot. Evasive, apathetic, non-responsive, and lack of basic initiative on behalf of the customer was my experience. I have driven Fords for almost 20 years, and have owned many models. This dealership needs new management in their service department, and badly.
After having read the reviews regarding this dealership, I was quite concerned about bringing my car in for warranty work. I reluctantly did so only after being told by Ford Customer Service that they would not authorize my regular mechanic to make this covered repair.
However, much to my pleasant surprise, I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience in the Koon's Service Center. I was treated in a courteous, professional manner. I found the service rep who worked with me to be most helpful--getting my car in quickly to be looked at. Their mechanic reached the same diagnosis of the problem as did my trusted mechanic. They even offered to drive me home when they realized it'd be a two hour wait before the needed repair could be completed.
The pick up process was as smooth as the drop off. There was never any arguement as to whether this repair was covered by the warranty, and even better...no one tried to suggest that additional work needed to be performed!
I'll go back!
